The new ABC sitcom 'Fresh Off the Boat' debuted to winning ratings and marked the first time in 20 years you could watch a network series centered on an Asian-American family. If Netflix could somehow find a way to pick that show up as well, this could be a great thing for the streaming network. There’s also the possibility of a Fresh Off the Boat spinoff at ABC, according to the report. There’s a lot of potential with a show like this. It’s very unlikely that the streaming network would be able to pull this off and save the show, but it’s definitely worth taking a flyer on if you’re Netflix. With the streaming wars heating up, this show could replace some of the other network shows that will be leaving the streaming service in the next few years.
